Young people desperate for instant results vs. disappointment

Teenagers looking for quick gains in bodybuilding often end up falling into myths and traps, whether in their choice of workouts, supplements, or even the misuse of anabolic steroids.

On our forum and from the emails I receive, it's clear that most of our visitors are teenagers, with one thing in common: they're in a hurry. They all want to know the best workout, the most effective supplement, the diet that brings the fastest results.

They want almost immediate gains, but unfortunately, the reality of bodybuilding is very different from what they expect.

Quick results are practically impossible to achieve, even with the use of anabolic steroids – imagine with mere supplements!

The mistake lies in expecting a miracle, in believing that there's a secret formula that will build muscle in a short time. Many young people wonder how much weight they'll gain after taking the expensive jar of whey protein they bought.

The truth is, however, that one or two containers of whey protein won't make the long-awaited difference. Significant gains come from months, or even years, of consistent training, an intense exercise routine, and a balanced diet that meets each individual's goals.

Rest is also essential, and only after that does supplementation come in. That's right, supplementation comes last, as a complement and not as the main element.

With years of experience in bodybuilding, I've seen many "generations" of friends and acquaintances at the gym. Many start out full of motivation, sign up, and train for a few months, but eventually give up.

What I noticed is that all those who gave up were the ones in the biggest rush, those who wanted quick results, and when they realized that wasn't possible, they became discouraged. It's up to you, reading this, not to make the same mistake. Bodybuilding is a long process that requires patience.

Furthermore, bodybuilding shouldn't be viewed as an obsession. Measuring yourself daily to see if you've gained any weight or weighing yourself every day to track fluctuations of a single kilogram (2 pounds) up or down isn't a healthy approach.

Instead, make strength training a lifestyle. If your goal is to have a strong, healthy body, you must be prepared to maintain this routine throughout your life.

Some people believe that once they achieve their desired physique, they can “move on with their lives” and leave bodybuilding aside.

However, what usually happens after a few months away from the gym is that everything you've gained is lost. Without continued proper diet and training, you're virtually guaranteed to lose muscle mass and, especially, strength.

So why the rush? After all, what's gained quickly is often lost just as quickly. Each stage of bodybuilding has its own maturation time, and respecting this timeframe is essential to avoid disappointment.

One of the biggest problems, however, is those who seek dangerous shortcuts and end up resorting to anabolic steroids without the proper knowledge and preparation.

Often, after two or three months of training, they consider using substances such as stanozolol (winstrol) or hemogenin , believing that they can gain 10 kg in a short time.

This is yet another illusion. Using anabolic steroids without a healthy diet, well-structured training, and professional supervision is risky and ineffective.

These young people end up risking their health, believing that stanozolol, for example, will help them “dry out” or define their bodies, but they don't understand what they are putting into their own bodies.

I've seen many young people start a steroid cycle on the recommendation of someone at the gym or an "instructor" who barely has any knowledge about the use of these substances.

Typically, what happens is this: they start the cycle, experience an increase in strength and water retention, but because they don't know how to eat properly or train properly, they end up losing all the gains as soon as they stop using the steroid.

And then comes disappointment, accompanied by side effects. These side effects can be diverse, such as hormonal changes, acne, loss of libido, liver problems, among others. Furthermore, the young person is still dissatisfied with the results, as they haven't achieved the expected gains.

What many don't understand is that the process of hypertrophy and muscle building is slow and depends on several factors. The rush to achieve immediate results leads to frustration and a series of negative consequences. Worse still, the search for these shortcuts often results in complete abandonment.

When they don't get the results they expected, many become discouraged and end up abandoning bodybuilding. The truth is, the more of a rush you are in, the greater the chance of disappointment and, consequently, giving up.

Another important point is that the information is available, you just have to want to learn.

On our blog, we provide free content so everyone can learn how to train properly, understand the role of a good diet, and understand how to use supplements safely and effectively. There's no secret: dedication and discipline are the main factors that lead to success in bodybuilding.

So, if you're young and just starting out in bodybuilding, my advice is to stop rushing and focus on building a solid foundation. Get informed, train consistently, maintain a proper diet, and understand that bodybuilding is a long-term commitment.

Make this a healthy habit and avoid comparing yourself to other practitioners or influencers, as each body has its own rhythm and will respond differently to stimuli.

Finally, it's worth remembering that steroids aren't a magic solution, and for most young people, they pose more risks than benefits. If you haven't yet mastered the fundamentals of bodybuilding and nutrition, using anabolic steroids will simply be a waste of money and, even worse, a risk to your health.

So, before making any impulsive decisions, consider: is it really necessary to risk your health to achieve quick results that will likely not be sustainable?

Bodybuilding can and should be a pleasurable and rewarding journey. Enjoy each step, celebrate small achievements, and focus on long-term progress. This is the secret to achieving not only a healthy and strong body, but also a more disciplined and resilient mind.
